The Curtain Raiser
The FA Community Shield is the curtain raiser for the new Premiership season. The fixture is contested between the winners of the Premier League and the FA Cup and is an opportunity to lay down an early marker to title rivals. For the fans, it's a highly anticipated occasion giving them a chance to see the new summer signings in action.
Last year's Community Shield did not disappoint. Chelsea and Manchester United battled it out to produce a 2-2 draw, with Chelsea eventually victorious, winning on penalties. Be there to see them do battle again on Sunday 8th August!
